Farm Biz: A Business Course for Farmers

In this 6-week, online business planning course, beginning farmers will gain the tools and knowledge needed to start and manage a successful farm operation. Hosted by Farmer Campus via Zoom, this virtual course allows you to participate from anywhere while learning directly from experienced farmers, business experts, and buyers who specialize in local food systems.

Through interactive lessons, participants will learn to:

• Calculate expenses and map out cash flow

• Plan sales and build strong customer relationships

• Understand key financial metrics to assess the health of their farm

• Navigate critical topics like funding, labor, insurance, and risk management

Participants who attend 5 out of 6 live sessions and complete the post-class evaluation will receive a $200 reimbursement on tuition.
