Our Mission: Real food. Grown locally. Shared equally.
Sierra Harvest launched officially in 2013, but its origins started long before that. Two organizations, Living Lands Agrarian Network and Live Healthy Nevada County, created the foundation by combining passions to provide healthier food to the community and to support local farmers.
Today, our mission is focused on empowering regional farmers through a service hub network that provides the infrastructure, resources, and innovation needed to support a sustainable, closed-loop food system in the Sierra Foothills.
We envision a Sierra Foothills where every farm is a fixture of the community, standing strong through shared resources and local pride, and ensuring our families are fed by the hands of their neighbors for generations to come.
What began almost 15 years ago as a desire to support local farmers, educate the next generation, and provide access to fresh local food within our rural community is now a campaign for a regional food revolution.
